Not quite for me but we'll written and worth reading for a different view. This was a good novel although I would have preferred more background and more about the characters. Great quick read with a bit of mystery, action and love interests. Absolutely full of action, with plenty of history behind it but without too much backstory. I enjoyed the storyline, as well as the writing style. Cynthia creates such wonderful sexy alphas.

She always creates a story where you don't always see what's coming. A werewolf and a vamp, very sexy!! The writing was fine, but this story's not for me. Not a bad read. Cant wait for more like it. Both warlock and vampire, Ethan should have been an outcast. Instead, he's been embraced by his Drone Vampire clan and has found love with the vampire Zeke. But when his mother's coven is attacked by the most powerful coven of dark warlocks there is, Ethan's contented existence is shattered. Forced to choose between wielding only white magic or embracing the dark, between pushing away the past or embracing all that he knows, Ethan must decide if he is willing risk everything, even Zeke's love, to eliminate the most deadly dark warlock he knows. Stephani Hecht takes readers for a walk on the darker side of magic in Bound by Blood.
Ethan and Zeke from Saved by Love's Blood are forced to confront their deepest fears concerning Ethan's knowledge of dark magic and it puts their love to the test. I won't spoil what happens, but suffice it to say Bound by Blood won't disappoint fans of the series. Ethan and Zeke remain sexy, likeable heroes, though for me personally, their personalities didn't come across as defined as some other characters' have in the past. This is likely a reason why this book is not my favorite of the series. Yet though the heroes and story are somewhat predictable, Bound by Blood still a fast-paced, enjoyable tale.
Fans of the Drone Vampire Chronicles will no doubt delight in seeing many of their favorite characters once more I'll admit to being thrilled at the glimpses Ms. But going back to the story, Laurel was a huge turn-off for me.. I mean, you just met a guy and the next day, you have a sleep over at his place? You don't bother to say no or put a stop to him giving you expensive presents and when you lose your job, you assume right away that you can move in Where can i find me a Sebastian? You don't bother to say no or put a stop to him giving you expensive presents and when you lose your job, you assume right away that you can move in to his place?
That just screams "gold-digger" all over.. I loved this book! This book took me by surprise in being completely unique and captured my taste for a nice bit of romance, tasteful vampires and historical fiction. Strange combination of genres but the authors take the reader on a great story with characters I just didn't want to say bye to, even with that cute ending.
Told in a dual person perspective, the female main character is Laurel Mayfield. Recently moved from a small town in Kansas to Sperling, Pennsylvania; Laurel hopes to save her money while working at the local renovated bar called Mystic so she can finally head to the grand city of New York.
However, It's living in the city of Sperling that brings a sense of intrigue and mystery as something seems off to Laurel but she can't figure out what exactly. Laurel has a run in with a would be attacker and is saved by a man whom she can't help but feel taken with despite having just met him. Sebastian Thorn is known as the prince among his kind, he's been around for ages, but it's this one female that seems to capture him like no other. When Laurel finds out who and what Sebastian is events take place, history is witnessed, and maybe rewritten. At the center of it all Sebastian and Laurel find themselves trying to stay together even as their lives are threatened and danger arises when they can no longer tell friend from foe.
Overall, love this story, it's long but it has to be so you can understand every awesome thing! Sebastian is a awesome and the definition of a knight in shining armor, he is always out to help the damsel in distress which literally gets him imprisoned and punished big time.
So seeing how he rescued the right damsel who is just as self sacrificing is refreshing for a romance because their relationship was a healthy balance. Oh and as a history nerd I loved the times Laurel was in the Tudor time period, because it felt authentic. Sometimes time travel story's get too far off into the fantasy or fiction, but the authors kept those scenes historical as fictionally possible.
There is sooo much more I'd say about this story but I won't spoil the good parts. So if you like vampires who save a woman they have a connection to but can't figure out why and the woman will do anything including travel through time to save her man than all the while conspiracies and vampire politics are boiling in the not to subtle background, than this book would be good to try.
This had vampires and Tudor history so for me this sounded perfect. It wasn't bad but I can't say I was blown away by it. I think it may be because the storyline with Anne Boleyn and this vampire was far fetched to me. I just found it hard to grasp but then maybe that is because I love the Tudors.
Blood in the Rain: Seventeen Stories of Vampire Erotica by Cecilia Duvalle
Overall it had a good storyline and the characters were ok. Was surprised how quickly she dumped the best friend from the plot. Where the hell did she go??? There was some quite graphic sexual scen Ok. There was some quite graphic sexual scenes but nothing too outrageous. The vampire politics was interesting and could have maybe been fleshed out more with a different storyline.
Bound In Blood: The Erotic Journey of a Vampire
The time travel was alright and made for a new twist on things for vampire tales but it kind of dragged on a bit. I kept wanting them to get on with it already and deal with the bad guys. And maybe see a reaction to her creepy ex's murder maybe?? She drug her dress up? Dragged my dear, dragged.
This spell error was repeated throughout. And as for sweethot? Ok so he pronounced it that way but it made me cringe each time it appeared. Sorry to moan but this is what it left me thinking about. Jan 28, Cat rated it liked it. I liked the plot and the chemistry between Laurel and Sebastian, but I felt like the author dumbed everything down for the reader.
Every little step was explained in detail, which started out as a good thing, but after awhile it was as though the author didn't trust the reader to reach conclusions on their own. Anyhow, I do like the circular time traveling thing that tied the story together. Some words were entirely overused i. I am interested in seeing if there is a sequel.
Laurel is a woman out of her element. Sebastian is a cool, sophisticated Brit. There is an attraction between them that they cannot deny. Their passion is intense and it soon blossoms into a relationship. The only problem is that Sebastian is a vampire; how does one tell someone that? Well, long story shortened, she finds out. Treac A sweeping story! Treachery is afoot there as well! Decisions have to be made, ones that may alter history. An exciting book filled with diabolical schemes, time travel, extravagance, magic and raw sensuality.
If this is your cup of tea or shot of scotch then look no further and read on! It grabbed my attention in the very first paragraph and didn't let go until the last word. The relationship between Sebastien and Laurel was so captivating. Sebastien has the right amount of possessiveness without being overbearing. The story keeps you on your toes. I'm not ready to turn loose of Sebastien and Laurel yet. I think with the way the book ends their is a definite possibility of a sequel.

And the time travel back to Tudor days was really good twist to the Boelyn days! There was a certain opening in this book that I thought was going to lead up to her being able to have a child with Sabastian but It didnt happen but the ending left it maybe open for that to happen dont know if there will be a part two but wish there was who doesnt want to know what happen i give this book five stars! It didnt happen but the ending left it maybe open for that to happen dont know if there will be a part two but wish there was who doesnt want to know what happens in the Prince's life!
This book was kinda strange. I wasn't hooked by the plot or the characters. The sex was ok but it didn't really add anything to the story. The ending was a bit anticlimactic after all the villains' plotting. Although I will say view spoiler [ the time traveling bit was interesting, but only terms of wondering how the author was gonna make it all work together. Also I was hoping that all the sex with mortal Sebastian would end up giving Laurel the child she dreamed of having that she couldn't ge This book was kinda strange.

I really liked the characters and loved the first half. It threw me off a bit when it got to all of the time travel stuff. I usually stay away from time travel books. Overall, the writing was good, the story flowed at a decent rate and held my interest to the end.
Feb 20, Raven Carluk rated it liked it Shelves: I was not pleased by this book. The plot was thin and contrived, and there were some twists at the end that didn't make sense. Nor did I really feel romantic about their relationship.
